Trusting or Tripping?

This is a good question to ask yourself. Am I trusting in God, or am I tripping? Everyday we wake up and the enemy is ready to attack us. We face all types or tests and trials, and sometimes we just get sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Life throws us all types of challenges, but the thing is- how are we reacting to the challenges? Are we getting all bent out of shape, worrying about how we gone do this or how we gone do that? OR are we keeping our peace and Trusting God knowing that he is going to work everything out.

“Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond to it.”

I think that quote is so befitting to what I’m trying to relay to you guys. Are we going to choose to Trust in God and know that he is going to make a way out of no way, Are we going to Trust in God and know that he is going to provide for you when you don’t have any money left. Are we going to Trust in God when a family member dies and we feel like the world is over, Are we going to Trust in God when we loose our job and only have a few bucks in the bank, Are we going to Trust in God when God says to WAIT on him but everything in your mind is saying MOVE AHEAD of God. The choice is yours. God gives us absolute FREE WILL to make our OWN decisions. Sometimes we don’t want to be patient and wait on the Lord, and obviously doing that shows that we don’t TRUST in his timing so we move ahead of him and end up getting into something that God never intended for us to get into.

It is vital that we TRUST in the Lord. When I think of the word Trust, I think of being able to count on someone, being able to know that they have my back. Trusting someone means to feel safe with someone, feeling of comfort knowing that the person will not hurt me, not let me down. Sometimes we put more TRUST in humans than we do the Man who gave us LIFE. Now does that make any sense? We will put Trust in total strangers, and folk that we have no idea about- than to put Trust in Someone who Loves us and never leaves nor forsakes us. God knows us, he knows how many hairs are on our heads, he knows what we like, don’t like, but we still find it so hard to Trust in someone who knows the beginning and the end of our lives. God has the BEST plan for us. He knows exactly what we need, when we need it. So why Trip, and get ahead of God and end up worse off than you already are just because you couldn’t wait and Trust in him?- Sit down and Wait for the Lord.

I find myself all the time trying to getting ahead of God due to lack of patience. But in the past I have found out getting ahead of God will only set me back and keep me from his BEST! So i’m learning to wait patiently on him. What’s the rush? You will not miss anything that God has for you, Because he even says “What’s for you NO MAN can take away! What’s for you will be YOURS! NOBODY ELSE CAN HAVE IT!” But you must wait for HIM to give it to you and not TAKE it. I’ve found myself taking some things that God never wanted me to take. Or indulging in somethings that I should have never indulged in. But God is so GOOD that he will wait for you and ALWAYS come meet you where you are, and simply ask “Are you ready for me to handle this thing, because you can not handle this in your own strength?” Lord Thank you for always showing up! There has been times where I have cried out to God and just said “I SURRENDER GOD…I GIVE MY WORRIES AND CONCERNS TO YOU..I’M DONE TRYING TO FIX AND HANDLE THIS SITUATION ON MY OWN!” And sure enough that enables God to SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT on our behalf. Recently the Lord has been showing me that I’m going to need patience in this world. Ain’t nothing worth having going to come in a few seconds with out some time. I’m so proud of the growth that I have had recently with having patience on my job, and with dealing with people everyday in the world, relationships with people God sends my way, and with my family. Everyday we should tell God that we want to Trust him, and that we want to wait on him and have patience. Ask God to help you. He will!

As soon as we get out the driver’s seat, and Let the Lord take the wheel, thats when we will be alright. I’m tired of trying to drive this big ol 18-Wheeler Tractor Trailer that I have no experience in driving, so yes Lord…take the wheel! Let me get in the passenger side, or matter of fact, let me get in the backseat so you can watch me from the mirror and make sure I don’t move! I trust you! God knows where he’s going– His plan is way better than ours! Let him blow your mind with just simply giving all your worries and cares to him! That’s why Jesus sent the Holy Spirit down for to be our Helper! We have help, we don’t have to do this on our own!

Awww man i’m so glad I got to write today, I’ve been so busy with working, helping out the teens and trying to get ready for school! I love you guys.. you guys are awesome and God is getting ready to really show up and show out in your lives! You just gotta stop Trippin’ and start Trusting!

Lord Jesus, Thank you for Speaking directly to me, I know I need to stop tripping and start trusting in you. You have NEVER failed me before, I pray that you will give me strength to hold on to your promises, I pray for PATIENCE, so that I can wait on you to show up in my life, I pray that you will give me more of your spirit so that it can direct my path and comfort me and counsel me in time of distress. Lord I thank you for always meeting me where I am, and taking me by my hand. Lord forgive for me ever doubting you and getting ahead of you. I want to thank you in advance for the blessings and rewards for obeying you and trusting you. Lord I love you and I thank you for just being you. In Jesus name, AMEN.

We are Undefeated

We are children of the most high God. We will always be undefeated! But we must know that.

So everyday we are tested. If it isn’t right when you wake up with your thoughts, or throughout the day on the job when folk get on your nerves or whatever the case may be, we get tested. The good thing though is that we are in total CONTROL. Satan comes along and makes you think that HE is in control, he is only in control if you let him.

For me, I literally have to wake up and spend time with God because the enemy attacks me in the morning, right before I start my day– he wants to get in my thoughts and fill my mind with lies and all types of imbecile ideas that will set the tone for my day. So I put a stop to that ASAP. I’ve found that spending time with God in prayer, reading the bible as soon as you get up, listening to a sermon online [I love Charles Stanely] – all these things help. We can’t be too busy for God because you will end up finding yourself in a situation during the day all messed up and wandering why your feeling off and can’t quite get it together. You didn’t have your cup of Jesus this morning, instead you had a cup of grits and hit the road.

We gotta start making God a priority and not just an option. We sure do make him a priority when we need something. Coming to him non stop asking him for more money, better job, fix this Lord, fix that Lord. And its like dangggggg you only call on him when you need something. God wants to spend quality time with you. He loves you, He longs to hear from you – He wants to spend some JUST BECAUSE time with you. Not only when you want something, or need him to do something for you.

Back to the In control topic– Satan has already been defeated. But he still comes to his us wanting us to think that he is in control of our lives and we can’t defeat him. But honey the DEVIL IS A LIIIIIAAARR because He will not control my thoughts , he will not control my actions, I have the spirit of God that rose Jesus from the dead living on the inside of me and so do you!

Jesus sent down the Holy spirit as a GIFT and a Helper to us. When we are FILLED with the Holy spirit, it will give us direction, it will give us strength and when we are attacked, the Holy Spirit will remind us of scripture that will reassure us that we have the victory! We will not be held captive by Satan! Its very important to read the bible. Its our sword to fight the devil with! When we are at war, Spiritual war that is, We have armor that we use to protect us.

Protective Armor

1. Helmet of Salvation ( So the enemy don’t mess with my mind and lie to me, and put all types of evil thoughts or lustful thoughts in my head

2. Breastplate of righteousness (Protecting your heart)

3. Shield of Faith ( Line yourself up behind this shield and keep your faith charged up)

4. Sword of the spirit (The word of God, Know scripture and be able to Give satan scripture when he lies to you)

5. Belt of Truth ( Wear the truth and not only just know the truth)

6. Shoes for spread the good word of the gospel (Carrying the word to others, sharing the word to others)

Brothers and sisters, I would suggest that you wake up every morning asking God to protect you by covering you with all the Protective Armor ! Because throughout the day you will be tested, tempted and tried! So you need to stay READY so you ain’t gotta get ready. Because best believe as soon as you walk into work, into school, into where ever– there is going to be something or somebody there with one of satan’s demons in them ready to attack you. So be ready! But love, you are in Control! Let that demon know that you are COVERED! You are Protected! You are one of God’s soldiers and can’t nobody mess with you! — And when Satan hear’s that, just like scripture says – Resist the devil and he will FLEE. Satan can’t stand a strong Christian, he fails every time! We know your tricks Devil. They are olddddd. We have our Armor! We ready!

Oh yea, when the devil tries to remind you of your past, Remind him of his future!

Praise God. I love you guys, sorry it’s been some days since I last posted, been working crazy long hours, But hey I got a Job and God is able-can’t even complain! I encourage you guys to don’t let the enemy defeat you, we have already won and got the victory! Don’t let him take control over your life ! We have the spirit of God living on the inside of us- We can do ALL things! [Phil. 4:13] And God will not give us anything that we can not bear! Trust him! Fight the fight! It’s preparing you for the next Season! I love you allllll!!!

It’s Seasons to this

So this was the first topic that was on my heart to really start my blog with. Soon as we realize that there are seasons to everything we experience in this life we will be good! I mean everything will be gooooood! So say your happy, and it just seems like God is just showing you so much favor. And then all of a sudden that time goes sour. Life gets uncomfortable, your now facing anxiety, you’re in pain, you’re in a state of depression, you’ve gotten disappointed and ALL THE REST!

BUT AS SOON as we realize that this is ONLY TEMPORARY and we must rejoice in this time! We must recognize who is in control. Let me give you some scripture on these seasons i’m talking about.

Ecclesiastes 3 King James Version (KJV)

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

²A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

³A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

⁴A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

⁵A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

⁶A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

⁷A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

⁸A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I want yal to really dissect this scripture and I know each and everyone of you can relate to one of them times. Okay so first we all was born, and we all must die…

Lets look at verse 4 .. A time to weep, Lord knows we’ve all done cried. But wait look what it says after, a time to laugh. So we’ve seen those good times and them sad times. Some folk have seem more sad times than happy.

Man back when I was running wild like a plum fool, I saw a lot of weeping seasons. Those times were due to getting connected with folk that should have never went past Hello. Man I stayed having somebody in my chair beside me. And when I say “stayed having someone in my chair beside me” meaning I always had a boo, always had somebody I was dating/messing with whatever you wanna call it. And that being the case I never gave God the opportunity for it to just be Him and I. I always was running, searching for men to fill the voids that I had. And I ALWAYS came up short and feeling empty! Never having joy, never having peace, never satisfied! But the good thing about God is that he will deliver you from situations on the low and you will be like dang how did I even get out that mess? I mean God had a way with saving me from total destruction that I was leading myself to! It would be times I would be messing with a guy, talking to a guy and then all out the blue he would just get ghost. I would be like “dang why Joe/Sam/Eddie ain’t texting me back, why he ain’t Call me back” I mean it wouldn’t be no words exchanged on anything. The joker would just get ghost and that would be the WORST because in the back of my head i’m like “dang was it something I did? or was it something I didn’t do?” Knowing good and well there wasn’t too much that I didn’t do. smh(Transparent) But anyways to say all that is Ladies and Gents, we got to recognize when God closes doors! When he allows these seasons to be done with!

Some folk will come into our life JUST for a season. And it could be a mighty good season. A season of personal growth, with the help of that person. It could be lots of reasons why that person was sent to your life at that specific time to help you get to where you needed to be for a season. But when God starts tugging at your heart saying “Okay Love, This season is over– time to let Joe Joe or So So go”. Its one of the hardest things to do. But once you do it God rewards all his children for obedience. I’ve had to let go a few great people that where placed into my life JUST FOR SEASONS. I mean it would be the hardest thing I THOUGHT I could ever do until I would pray and cry out to God to strengthen me. It’s just crazy because the folk you would have to let go of because the season was over, they would hurt just as bad as you hurt and would never understand. But somewhere deep down in their hearts if they prayed and Asked God, I know without a doubt God would let them in on the secret and tell them “It was only for a season–proceed son/daughter”. I’ve had to trust in the Lord a many of times due to this. I be like DANNNNG Lord, why this season gotta end? I luhhhh this man.(Most of the time it was Lust because we would have had built the relationship on physical and lusting each other), He so good to me. He/she this or that. But at the end of the day you can’t argue with God. He lets you have FREE WILL to do whatever you please but when you don’t do what he says, you find yourself having no peace and just up and down with emotions all the time. Stringing that person along this ride of discontentment is selfish and not fair to that person. I would always hear The Lord softly saying “I know this wont be easy but trust me, I have what’s BEST for you.” There would be times I would just lay flat on my face crying out to God-praying with the carpet soaked from my tears from having to let go of folk. But once I really let go and honestly let Go with all my being, God would literally FILL ME UP with an unexplainable joy that words couldn’t even express! And it would be even more confirmation that I did the right thing–TRUST HIM.

During these Seasons, Good or Bad–Satan has to ASK GOD can he test us! If God approves it, its up to us if we will pass or fail! You see how satan came and tempted/tested Jesus while he was out in the wilderness. Or what about how Satan told God that Job would curse him if God took all his family, harvest, health away. It’s up to you if you pass or fail the test of satan. It will come a time where I feel after many tests failed, satan will be like “man i’m tired , she too prayed up- let me move on.”

So all in all guys we got to make sure we don’t allow the seasons to knock us off our Faith game. And its totally up to us how long we will allow fear, and doubt and any other attitudes towards whatever season God is allowing us to go through. Its how we react and respond to them! So if right now you are in a lonely season, make sure you are speaking life! Stop going around saying “Man i’m so tired of being lonely, I’m going to be single forever” waaaaa waaaaa waaaaaa ! Stop with the pity party. God wants to know that you are just fine AND content with just You and him! Matter fact I personally think all you doing is prolonging the process. You keep going back to old flames that God delivered you from just to have somebody to talk to etc, You keep going to the clubs looking for somebody you can get to talk to, you keep going to the gym hoping you gone meet Mr. Right. I’m going to tell you right now, until you be content with just YOU AND GOD, you gone always have voids, looking for Sally Mae, Jessica or Adam, or Stan to try and fill. And they will NEVER be able to fill your voids like the Lord can. So start speaking life — “Lord I have no idea when you are going to send me my Ruth, or my Boaz, but as of right now I’m content with just you and me” “Lord, I love you so much and i’m so glad to have you because You say you will never leave more NOR forsake me” Think about that, God won’t do you like how them jokers did you in the past, he LOVES at all times. He will never leave you. He sent his son to DIE for you. I don’t know about you but I ain’t never had no man tell me he would die for me. Lord Jesus–Now thats somebody I NEED to be with, forever.

Enjoy these seasons. Because to be honest every season has a PURPOSE AND A PLAN behind it! Let God take the wheel and know that he is working behind the scenes on your behalf! So it don’t matter if its a dry season where you don’t see any break throughs or big promotions or more money coming in or if its a Lonely season where you feel like you aint got nobody to court/date spend time with, man spend time with God. Get to know him! Love on him! And in that time too he will be letting you know yourself. Love on you too. Get to know YOU. I can remember how I use to always just have to have somebody to be texting or hanging out with. And it came a time where God put me right by myself and was like basically “girl you about to get to know Jasmine and what Jasmine Like and dislike etc.”

Know that God is still right there just orchestrating things for your good. This is the time to stay connected, prayed up and TRUST IN HIS TIMING.

Romans 8:28 states:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
