Unfamiliar places

“It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going” Hebrews 11:8, NLT.

There are times when I tell God, “I’ve never been here before. I’ve never experienced this before.” Both great and terrible experiences that are new to me, and I have to trust God like never before.

In the unfamiliar places is when we hear God say, “I’ve got you!”

“I’ve got you.”

“I’ve got you.”

Where you are today may be new to you, but it’s not new to God. He’s not experiencing this for the first time. He’s all knowing and He’s already made a way, and carved out a path for you. My sister, rest in knowing He is with you and you have nothing to fear. Receive His grace to walk in the unfamiliar places and move into the unknown. You will arrive at His expected end for your life.

Prayer: Father God, thank you that you are with me when I’m in a place that’s unfamiliar. You are with me to help me and guide me. I need your grace and I need your strength to keep moving into the unknown. Hold my hand and lead me by your Spirit. Quiet me with your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
