Jesus Is Your Righteousness

The work of righteousness will be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Isaiah 32:17-18

Isaiah teaches you that the key to your transformation is the presence of the Spirit (Isaiah 32:15). So, now, ask the Holy Spirit guide your life, then the righteousness of Jesus will bring peace, quietness, confidence, and safety.

Peace

Jesus says, “My peace I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful” (John 14:27). You can have Jesus’ peace when you’re surrounded by unfavorable situations or crises: dangerous mobs, people’s misunderstanding of you, and abandoned by friends, or any crisis. It is peace, knowing God knows what is best for you and will guide your life because you trust Him completely.

Quietness

In Jesus, you have a quietness of your soul, under the mighty hand of God, amidst all the calamities in the world. The quietness comes from knowing God has your best interest in mind and that in the end, it will be for the best.

Safety

Jesus warps with His love and protects you when you are in a dangerous environment. God sends you an angel to protect you if you let God (Matthew 18:10, Hebrews 1:14).

Also, being saved and safe in God means we don’t fear death. Because Jesus is Resurrection and Life (John 11:25). So, you can dwell in safety in God’s arms, fearing nothing.

Confidence

When Jesus in your heart you will have a confidence and assurance of God’s mercy, and the fulfilling of His promises. You are so precious and valuable in God’s sight, that God was willing to empty all of the heavens just to save you.

You are worth so much to Jesus that He was willing to miss out of heaven if you weren’t there. How can you not be confident in your worth knowing that?

Pray

Father, help me to be one with Jesus. So, Jesus can be my righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30), today and always. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
