How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? (NLT) ( Matthew 7:4 )
Often we like to tell other people what to do and how to do it as if we know everything. We exaggerate our experience or our knowledge to get someone to straighten up. However, we cannot control others. The one thing we can control is ourselves. When we examine ourselves, we find the issue our friend struggles with is the same issue we ourselves struggle with.
Rather than pointing out the fault with our friends, lets take a deep look at ourselves to see what is the heart of the issue. Then we can truly make a difference in ourselves.
