Today is my birthday guys!!! And i’m so excited for this new year!
I used to hear the elderly say, “the Lord will keep you young”. LOL. It doesn’t bother me by getting older.
I often hear women talk about getting older. I may ask “when’s your birthday?” And they may respond saying something like “Oh I don’t want to talk about it, I’m getting so old.” I let them know quickly, that one should be glad to have another year. God is good to wake us up each morning and allow us to have ample amounts of opportunities to get things right with Him.
That being said, I’m super stoked about this new chapter of my life.
Chapter 25 was a year of recognition and acknowledgement. I had to recognize some of my flaws, and some things that I needed to correct etc. [mind you this is a daily process] My pastor told us at the beginning of 2016 that it would be a “year of YOU”- and it truly was.
“Change is the inevitable, growth is optional.”
It’s a choice to grow. I made a choice a long time ago to start maturing and growing- even when it doesn’t feel good. That’s apart of this Christian walk. It may not feel good, but it’s growth and God is pleased.
To say the least, I’m excited about this new Chapter. God has been doing amazing things. I knew in the beginning of 2017 that this year would be amazing.
“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”
