Isaiah 59:1 (NIV) Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short
to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
Isaiah 59:2 (NIV) But your iniquities have separated you from
your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will
not hear.
Hello Saints,
This was placed on my heart this morning to share with you all. When are we going to finally realize that sin separates us from God. And as well as it separating us from God, He’s not going to bless our mess. So we have to get rid of the idea that God is going to bless our actions of sin.
Stop praying these prayers knowing that the very thing we are praying for doesn’t line up with what God would allow.
“Lord please bless me with more money, ” – So that you can buy more material things and liquor and so you can ‘stunt’ on your friends etc.
“Lord please give me some authority in this church“- So you can abuse your authority and feel puffed up like you are all that and a bag of chips. God loves the humble.
“Lord please let this man/women want to marry me“- Knowing good and well, that’s not who God would ordain for your life. This person is actually hindering you and not helping you grow closer to God.
“Lord please let me get this job because I need more money.” Knowing good and well if He gave you the job, you still wouldn’t be a giver and you would only become puffed up and you would waste it.”
My people of God, I know I’m being raw today but this is the very thing that we have to take into consideration when we are praying and asking God. What are our true motives.
James 4:3 And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong–you want only what will give you pleasure.
When we pray, ask God to purify our motives and our hearts. Wanting only what will please Him. And bring Him glory. God has control over everything. Don’t limit God to what He can do. He says we will have life and more ABUNDANT life. So He wants us to have the abundant life. But He also will withhold some things if we can’t handle.
Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
I love you guys. Jesus loves you!
Be the light loves,
