Sitting here at the airport getting ready to board this flight to Cali to visit my MAMA!! I just thank God for my mother. As we approach Mother’s day, I Thank God for the opportunity to be able to go see my mother. This is my first year being away from her.
Mother’s are so special. They produce life.
I pray for you guys that don’t have your mother’s either due to them being away, or not living. I pray that during this weekend God would fill that void with his everlasting love.
Those who do have their mother, I’d ask you to reflect back to when you were little, how your mom was always there, how your mom always made a way out of no way. My mother has always been a hard worker. I remember her working multiple jobs just to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. I also remember at one point, we were living out of hotels because we didn’t have a home. She worked along with my father to make sure we had enough money for the hotel stay.
Mother’s are the foundation of each of us.
Remember all the blood, sweat and tears this weekend and really show mom some love. You don’t even have to buy anything, just give her your time. And if you can’t physically be with her, give her a call- let her know that you love her and you appreciate all that she has done for you over the years. I’m sure it would make her day. Simple things go a long way.
“A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.” ―Washington Irving
Be the light loves,
