One thought on “The speck in your OWN eye

  1. The Judgment of the Eyes: It is what it looks like

    7:1-5
For in the same way you judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’When all the time there is a plank in your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

    7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the prophets. 13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

    21
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will I enter the kingdom of heaven? But the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name preform miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly,’I never knew you. Away from me you evil doers!’
    24
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine puts them into practice is like a wise man who build his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

    Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal

    Mathew 13:13
Though seeing they do not see:though hearing , they do not hear or understand; 14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: You will be forever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15 For this people’s hearts has become calloused; they have harden their hearts with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understanding with their hearts and turn, and I will heal them. 16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what I see but did not see it, and to hear what You hear but did not hear it.

    Mark 10:23
Jesus looked around and said to his disciples. “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again. “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It’s is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
    Mathew 6
    6:1
Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
4….Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
    21-24
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No on can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
