Matthew 6:34“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
This scripture is TOO real! I mean, there are so many things that we can find in our lives to WORRY about pertaining to that day, pertaining to the future and so on..its like DANG just worry about THIS DAY.
I’ve struggled with worrying and not letting God just do what he wants to do. I heard someone say “You can’t worry and pray..it just doesn’t go together.” How are you praying to God and saying “Oh God I know you will do this and do that…” But as soon as you get off your knees from praying you are right back at the worry. Worrying about if God is going to come through for you.
Just recently God has been dealing with me these last few months about TOTAL dependence on him. Trusting him and having Faith to know that he has me in the palm of his hands. This is easier said than done. As humans, we tend to try and figure things out on our own and think that we can just fix everything. But there came a time in my life, I didn’t have a choice but to allow God to do what he wanted to do. I’ve tried it my way God… YOU DO IT. Lord you have much more power than I do.
I go back to the analogy of sitting in the drivers seat and you having God in the passenger or maybe don’t even have God in the car(situation) at all. Thats dangerous. When you don’t have God apart of any decision making, any planning, any parts of your life – thats scary. God knows the beginning and the end of your own very life. Why NOT go to him for advice and suggestions. He will tell you. Some people say “Well I don’t hear from God..” My question is- How much time do you spend with the Lord? How much time do you spend reading your word, How much time do you spend praying and meditating with Him? We are quick to say that God aint speaking to us, but the problem is- we aren’t spending intimate time with our Heavenly Father. Over here tripping about this and that and we haven’t once yet brought our issues, concerns to God. Think about it.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
God tells us to cast our cares on to him.. he wants to handle our trials and tribulations. But you must let him! Stop trying to be super man when you don’t have the SUPER natural powers that only our mighty God has. When you finally let it all go and finally trust God to take care of your issues and cast your cares unto him; It’s literally like the weight of the world is lifted off your shoulders. God knows what we can handle. He says that he would not give us more than we can bear. [1 Corinthians 10:13]
Key tips to Taking one day at a time..
- Acknowledge that God is in control, he wants to fight our battles [Exodus 14:14] The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- Spend time with him by reading his word, fasting, praying without ceasing.
- Surrender to him– put your pride aside and trust him to do whatever he needs to do in your life. Humility is key
- Wait on his timing- His timing is better than ours. Don’t rush ahead of God, he knows your future and his timing is ALWAYS perfect.
- Stay busy doing his work– Get in your church and help out with ministries – I’ve found out when you have a lot of time on your hands, you tend to worry and the devil just has a field day with playing mind tricks and putting all types of stuff in your head. Stay busy in the Lord!
Lord Jesus, I pray right now for my brothers and sisters in Christ, Lord keep our minds and hearts in tune with you, Lord help us to wait patiently and seek you for everything we need Lord, I pray that you will protect us as we Put on your full armor! For we know that the enemy is only here to Steal , kill and destroy! He wants to destroy our mindset! Lord help us! We recognize that we can’t do any of this in our OWN strength. Lord give us favor in everything that we do. Lord give us direction, if we are going in the wrong direction in any area in our life- please stop us and turn us to the right path. Lord help us forgive Lord, for we know that if we don’t forgive, you won’t forgive us at- Lord help us to remain still until you tell us to move Lord, Lord help us when we are weak and when we want to give us! Lord I’m believing by FAITH that you have some doors, divine connections and some divine appointments that you are lining up for your children! In Jesus name! Thank you in advance Lord for helping us to take one day at a time! Give us strength for just this day! Help us to go from glory to glory and faith to faith! Lord you are so good we just Love you and Thank you for all that you’ve done and all that you are getting ready to do . And we ask all these things in JESUS Name! Amen ❤
