Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Like I tell you guys, I ask God what he wants me to talk about and for him to speak through me. So He’s told me that some folk have been struggling in their faith lately. It’s time for a Faith renewal.
Going back to scripture– Faith is BEING SURE or what he HOPE for and CERTAIN of what we do not see. The book of Hebrews in an awesome book to read, it shows many examples of Faith, I encourage you all to read it. Its not a long book either so don’t trip lol.
When we are talking about Faith, we are talking about believing in something that we don’t already have, knowing that something will come to pass as it is still happening, Let me talk plain – Knowing that the rent will be paid when you just got fired from your job, Knowing that you will make it to work Monday morning and you just got your car repossessed, Knowing that you will eat even though you don’t have no money in the bank. Knowing that the doctor may have said you have cancer but you know your real Doctor is God and he can cancel all that out. See Faith is something that comes from the Spirit, its not from the Flesh. The Flesh will have you trippin, complaining worrying about this and worrying about that. Thats why its stressed in the bible to not live by the Flesh but by the spirit! Some folk are going through some things right now and they feel like just giving up, throwing in the towel. “Lord this is too hard, I can never see myself out of this mess.” “Lord I don’t know how i’m going to pay the rent this month and I don’t have any money” “Lord I just started this new business and its not taking off like I thought it would.” “Lord you told me to move to Florida but i’m scared to leave my comfort zone”. —-What does all these scenarios of talking to God sound like? FEAR. We are reacting out of Fear instead of Faith. We MUST MUST MUST remember the promises of the Lord when Fear creeps in our mind. The promises of the Lord is found in the text/BIBLE. Thats why its SOOO important to stay in the word. That is our SWORD! When the enemy comes and attacks our mind with fear, we must get planted into the Bible and read up on the promises of God. 
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
God is WITH YOU, he is with each of us! He tells us not to fear. He has everything under control. Matter of fact he is IN CONTROL…not just of some things but of ALL things. He’s in control of you living situation, He’s in control of the food you and your family will eat, He is in control of all the things that you are worried about. I saw a tweet a few years back that said ” You can’t worry and pray, It just doesn’t go together”. I thought about that thing and was like that is so Real. How am I praying to the one that has all the answers and solutions to my problems and then get off my knees from praying and Call mama or Daddy and cry out to them about being so worried about how I’m going to pay my bills or eat this week. We got to get our Faith game up yal. We got to remember how God is a SUPERNATURAL GOD. He doesn’t have to ask anybody for approval, He doesn’t have to wait on President Obama to sign off on a document to allow this or that to go through. God IS IN CONTROL.
First step of Operating in Faith – Take God out of this small box – God is not a little God that can only do a few things. God and do ALL things. We tend to not believe that God to make miracles happen. We tend to believe that God can only do certain things for certain people. I’ve said before “well God is only going to do that for Him before he’s got more education than me…” or “God is going to give her a Husband because she hasn’t dated so many people like I’ve dated” or “God is going to get him a position in the NBA because he has more training and skills than I have”. We sell ourselves short every time and God is like “If I can do it for them, I can turn around and do the same thing BUT BETTER for you!!” Claim it! I receive that!!
Second step of Operating in Faith- All you need is a Mustard seed – Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” So you mean to tell me, All I need is something as small as a piece of seed will cause God to work miracles and MOVE MOUNTAINS in my life? That’s all? WOW. Some of us are walking around thinking we need all this wisdom and education and money and fame and fortune for God to do some things in their lives. Man all you need is a MUSTARD SEED and God will move mountains. You know what those mountains are? [ Rent being paid, Jobs being restored, Family’s being saved, Food on the table, Roofs over your head, Relocating to unfamiliar areas being transitioned smoothly, Broken relationships being mended, Hearts being mended, Restoration, Things being given back to you that was taken away! And much more if you just BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN DO IT!]
Third step of Operating in Faith- Thank God in Advance – You already got it [ ASK.BELIEVE. RECEIVE ] – So When operating in Faith, Our prayer game is going to have to be strong. We must ask God for whatever it is that we need- he already knows our needs before we could even ask. [Matthew 6:8] But not only asking him in prayer, we need to go ahead and THANK HIM in advance! Say Lord , I need for you to help me financially pay my rent- I know that IT’S ALREADY done because You say all that I need is faith of a Mustard seed and you will move my mountains! So Lord it is already done! Thank you for getting my rent paid!” DONE. From my own personal experiences, I’ve noticed when I thank God in advance for whatever I need for him to do, He will make sure that it comes to pass! God is so good, I mean literally just showing him that we know that he is in CONTROL and has the POWER to make ANYTHING happen, that ACTIVATES him to really show us what he can do! We have to ACTIVATE our relationship with the Lord and let him know that we have Faith in him and that we Trust him in every area of our life!
“We must start operating in Faith instead of Fear, God blesses the Faithful and not the Fearful”
God has so much in store for his children(US) But how much of his abundance that he gives to us is up to us. We have to open up our hands for him to pour down the blessings! But most importantly we must have FAITH to know that he is a God to do exactly what he says he would do! Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Let’s get excited about the Lord and know that he can work all things out, he can turn that mess your in into a message, that Test into a testimony- Have FAITH, its vital to live everyday with hope and expectancy!
Challenge- I challenge all my sisters and brothers to Activate your Faith this week, Let God know that you believe in him to do all that he promises to do. Start thanking God in ADVANCE for the blessings, and watch and see what he is able to do in your life. Stay ready so you don’t have to get Ready!
Lord Jesus, Thank you for speaking directly through me, You are so awesome and glorious! There is nobody like you! Lord touch our hearts that we will focus on YOU and only you. You said all we need is Faith as little as a mustard seed and you will move mountains on our behalf! Lord we just want to thank you In ADVANCE for all that you are getting ready to do, we know that you said if we delight ourselves in you, that you will give us the desires of our hearts! Lord I can’t do this in my own strength, Activate my faith, Lord help me to build my faith so that I can stop worrying and start worshipping! I believe in you! I trust you! Lord forgive me for ever doubting you! In Jesus name, AMEN!
