Faith it

Has God spoken things to your heart that haven’t come to pass yet? Sometimes when we are believing for things, it’s easy to become discouraged when it doesn’t happen according to our timetable. But when you make the choice to receive your promise by picturing it in your mind’s eye and declaring it with the words of your mouth, your faith becomes stronger. You begin to have joy and peace because you know God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. What are you believing for God to do in your life? See it in your mind’s eye. See yourself healed. See yourself paying off that last debt. As you allow God’s thoughts to become your thoughts and receive His promises by faith, just like it says in today’s verse, whatever you ask for in prayer will be yours!

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day to serve You. Thank You for the gift of faith. I ask that you search my heart and mind and remove anything that does not please you. Give me your thoughts of peace and joy today so that I can learn to receive all you have for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Worship Not Worry

You can’t worry and worship at the same time. When the devil brings you thoughts of worry, anxiety and fear, don’t believe them! Instead, let those thoughts be a reminder to you to thank God that the answer is on the way! That’s what King Jehoshaphat did. The people of Judah were surrounded by three major armies. It didn’t look as though they had a chance. This godly king was probably bombarded with thoughts of fear and anxiety. But he gathered the people together, lifted his eyes toward heaven, and prayed the simple prayer in today’s verse. Jehoshaphat’s prayer was answered. God told the people to march right into the enemy’s camp, singing and shouting praises on their way. Notice, they weren’t worrying—they were worshiping—and God delivered them. Today, choose worship over worry and move forward into victory!

God, thank You for Your forgiveness. I know that I don’t deserve it, but I praise You for faithfully forgiving me. Help me to clear any roadblocks in my path by forgiving others, even as You forgive me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Sharing Our lives

Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Your people will be my people and your God my God. Ruth 1:16

This is who I call my Naomi. Shout out to my spiritual mother

How much of my own life, and really all of human experience, is marked by a stubborn resistance to freely and generously give to others?

As believers in Jesus, we’re called to share our very lives with one another. Ruth did just that with her mother-in-law, Naomi. As a destitute widow, Naomi had little to offer Ruth. And yet Ruth connected her own life to her mother-in-law’s, vowing that they would press on together and that not even death would separate them. She said to Naomi, “Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16). She freely and generously gave to the older woman—showing love and compassion.

While sharing our lives in this way can be difficult, we should remember the fruit of such generosity. Ruth shared her life with Naomi, but later she bore a son, the grandfather of King David. Jesus shared His very life with us, but was then exalted and now reigns Yat the right hand of the Father in heaven. As we generously share with one another, we can be confident that we will experience greater life still!

Jesus, as we share our lives with others, may we reflect Your loving heart.

[shout out to Mama T in the above photo added. A Wonderful woman of God that I cherish and love! If you do not have a wise woman of God in your life to help mentor, lead and give you constructive criticism – pray that God will bless you with one. You need someone to hold you accountable. Self Esteem Check

Our primary relationship in life is with ourselves. No one else goes through every experience in life with us. We are our one permanent companion, yet we are often our worst critic. To remind ourselves of our magnificence, we can do this exercise: “Five Things I Like About Myself.”

Begin by writing down at least five things that you like about yourself. This is not the time to be modest. If you are having trouble coming up with a total of five items, you know that this exercise can really benefit you. Be sure to include more than your physical attributes on your list, since our bodies are only part of who we are. If you are still struggling with what to include on your list, think of what you like about your favorite people, because these traits are probably qualities that you possess too. Another way to complete your list is to think of five things you don’t like about yourself and find something about these traits that you can turn into a positive.

Continue this process for a week, thinking of five new things you like about yourself each day. At the end of the week, read the list aloud to yourself while standing in front of a mirror. Instead of looking for flaws to fix, allow the mirror to reflect your magnificence. You may feel silly about standing in front of a mirror and reading aloud a list of your admirable attributes, but it might just bring a smile to your face and change the way you see yourself. Remember, it is when you feel the most resistant that this exercise can benefit you the most. Because we are constantly looking at the world, instead of looking at ourselves, we don’t often see what’s magnificent about ourselves that others do. When we take the time to experience ourselves the way we would experience someone we love and admire, we become our best companion and supporter on life’s journey.

Speak it!

Every believer has been given a measure of faith. In order to see the promises of God come to pass in your life, you have to give expression to that faith through the words that you speak. That’s why the Scripture tells us, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong’”—not the opposite, “I am so tired. I am so rundown.” That’s calling in the wrong things. Let the poor say, “I am well off”—not, “I am so in debt.” When you give your faith a voice, when you start speaking the promises of God, the Bible says that He watches over His Word to bring it to pass in your life. The key is that we can’t allow words of defeat or negativity to come out of our mouths. Don’t dig up your seed by speaking against His Word. Instead, water your seed by continuing to declare the Word of God. As you give your faith a voice, you will see God’s promises come to pass.

A Prayer for Today

“Father in heaven, I humbly come before You giving You my thoughts, my actions and my words. Help me to activate my faith by speaking Your Word daily. May my words and thoughts be pleasing to You always in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Ready for change

Change is good. Change is necessary.

Are you ready for change? Have you been thinking about a new thing in your life? Have you thought about a new idea? The key to change is letting go of all fear.

Fear could keep you from flying. IMG_0550

I challenge you to start that business plan, plan that trip, move to that new location.

So many times we say “I’m waiting on God”… but God could be waiting on us. I pray that your faith is increased in this season. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)

It’s time to increase your faith and make a move! God has your back!! We have about 6 weeks of this year left, lets go out with a bang!

Love you guys!! Stay focused! The time is Now!

Keep your eyes on the prize.

*We only get ONE life to live. Make sure you are living your life to the fullest.

Unfamiliar places

“It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going” Hebrews 11:8, NLT.

There are times when I tell God, “I’ve never been here before. I’ve never experienced this before.” Both great and terrible experiences that are new to me, and I have to trust God like never before.

In the unfamiliar places is when we hear God say, “I’ve got you!”

“I’ve got you.”

“I’ve got you.”

Where you are today may be new to you, but it’s not new to God. He’s not experiencing this for the first time. He’s all knowing and He’s already made a way, and carved out a path for you. My sister, rest in knowing He is with you and you have nothing to fear. Receive His grace to walk in the unfamiliar places and move into the unknown. You will arrive at His expected end for your life.

Prayer: Father God, thank you that you are with me when I’m in a place that’s unfamiliar. You are with me to help me and guide me. I need your grace and I need your strength to keep moving into the unknown. Hold my hand and lead me by your Spirit. Quiet me with your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Restoration!

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25

God is a restorer. He specializes in restoring to His people all that rightfully belongs to them. Many of you lost time, lost your money, lost your health, lost great opportunities and even lost yourself, but God is faithful and He is restoring everything back to you multiplied. You may know Him to be your Provider, your Peace and your Protection, but God is getting ready to show you another side of His divine nature you may have never seen before–God your Restorer!

Say out loud from your heart, “God is my Restorer! Everything the devil stole from me, God is restoring it all back to me multiplied! I’m not going to try to figure out how or when He is going to bring restoration in my life. I’m just going to trust that He will in His perfect timing and in His perfect way because He is faithful to His promises and He is faithful to me! He will surely restore! In Jesus’ name!”

(Read Psalms 51:12; Jeremiah 30:17; Psalms 23:3)

Cast your cares…

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

(Matthew 11:28, NIV)

Release Your Care and Rest

God wants to give you rest. He wants to refresh and restore your soul—your mind, will and emotions. It’s so easy to get caught up in the “busyness” of life, and before long, your mind, will and emotions are so “spun up” that you can barely think straight! But even in the hustle of life, you can find rest, ease and relaxation. God wants to take care of everything that concerns you so that you can find rest in your innermost being when you come to Him.

Imagine how you would feel if someone came up to you today and said, “Give me all of your monthly bills; I’m going to pay them.” You’d get pretty excited, wouldn’t you? But it wouldn’t happen until you did your part to actually hand that person your bills. They can’t pay them for you if you never release them. In the same way, when we release our cares and concerns to God, He promises to take care of them.

Today, release your cares to the Lord. Let Him fill you with His peace and joy. Receive the rest that He promises and enjoy the fulfillment and blessing He has for you!

A Prayer for Today

“Father, today I humbly come to You. I choose to cast my cares on You so that I can live in Your rest. Thank You for Your goodness to me. Help me find ways to share Your goodness with those around me today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
