Receive the gift

…how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! Romans 5:17

If you see yourself as unworthy, as not measuring up, as undeserving of God’s grace, the problem is that you’re not receiving the gift of righteousness. The accuser will tell you that you’ve made too many mistakes, you’ve failed too many times, and you’ll never get it right. But the Scripture speaks of how God has made you righteous because of what Christ has done. “Righteous” means “to be holy, blameless, honorable.” It doesn’t say you’re going to be righteous one day when you’re good enough, but God says, “You are My holy, righteous, blameless, honorable, anointed, amazing child right now.” Who are you going to believe? Are you going to let the accuser deceive you into carrying the guilt and going around being against yourself? Start receiving the gift.

You might be weighed down with heaviness, with regrets, with a sense of unworthiness, but you can unload all that right now. If you give up your guilt, your regrets, and your unworthiness, God will give you His righteousness.

A Prayer for Today“Father, thank You that I am under the open windows of heaven. Thank You that You are pouring out blessings so abundant that I won’t have room enough to receive it all. I believe and declare that You are going to rain down favor, good breaks, and creativity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Happy Saturday !

Good morning folks! Welcome back to my blog. I thank you guys for continuing to read and go along this journey with me.

This morning as I woke up and wanted to clean. I find cleaning very therapeutic for me. This particular Saturday I have a couch that is being delivered and it’s scheduled to be delivered between the hours of 10am and 2pm. The delivery company called me about 0915 and told me that the delivery truck was going to be late. When I got the news I got upset because I said “this is my whole day and I don’t want to be waiting on the truck all day in my place”. I immediately got upset and frustrated and then the Holy Spirit checked me and said “why can’t you just wait and be patient?”

How many times we get upset and frustrated over things that we can’t control? Immediately peace came over me and I said God I thank you for the patience that you’ve had with me. Let me have that same patience for the delivery company. It may sound minute, But this is a real life thing. So many times we get frustrated over things that we can’t control, and we find ourselves bent out of shape, trippin & need to just sit down and be still.

So I decided I’m going to enjoy my Saturday of just relaxing, talking to God and it provoked me to make this blog post. God is amazing he works all things together for our good. (Romans 8:28) I hope this blog helps you guys today, and trust in the timing of your life, and trust in being patient when you have to wait. Good things come to those who wait.

Blessings,

Jasmine

“Walk it like you talk it”

Hello guys!

WalkIt-Web-Header-1422x800This has been in my spirit the last few days. “Walk it like you talk it….”

We have to get to a point where we start letting our words match our actions. This can be in reference to things on all ends of the spectrum.

I.e, If you’re talking about one thing such as making sure we get things done, but you’re sitting on the couch and not doing anything– it’s time to get up and get moving.

This is such a prime time to focus on the things that we have been wanting to do for a long time such a goals and what we placed on our vision boards.

I just want to make sure i’m walking out what i’m talking about. I don’t know about you but I’m here to encourage you to finish out the business plan, finish up that schooling that you need. Walk out the obedience to God. It’s easy to talk about something and sometimes it’s even easy to start projects, it’s all about finishing them. There’s a profound saying that says “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.” Lets make sure we are finishing up graciously!

God is good! Keep your head up, keep pushing and remember if God called you to it, He’s going to see you through it!

Have a great week!

Back to the basics

Hey love bugs!

maxresdefaultI felt promoted to write a blog this morning. I think with all that has been going on, I feel many of us have had time to sit and think on some things.

As I woke up and did my morning walk, I kept hearing in my spirit, “back to the basics”. When I thought about this phrase, I thought about the word reset.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working from home (thank God I have a job) with all the layoffs and job loss over the last few months. I’ve been able to sit still and just listen to my own thoughts and just reconnect with self.

I’ve found myself in past times rippin’ and running and not making time to hear our own thoughts or even to hear what God could be trying to say to me. Knowing the will of God is extremely vital in ones life. In order to know His will, you need to know His word.

As I write this blog on “back to the basics”, what comes to mind is- starting fresh.

You may be saying, what are the basics that I’m referring to?- I’ve been reminded to focus on the simple things in life. We tend to make things so complex and we get all bent out of shape about things that we can’t control.

I want to suggest to you to simply focus on prayer and conversation with our heavenly Father.

Man, with all that has been going on in the world people have been stressed out, blood pressure high, eating habits all messed up, gaining weight and complaining. I want to challenge you to just stop today, think about life and focus on what’s at hand right now. Don’t worry about tomorrow, tomorrow has it’s worries of its own. (Matthew 6:34)

Start with prayer to God, grab you a note pad and pencil or go get you one of those cute journals to write in and jus talk to God. Write out your thoughts and you feelings. How do you feel about all thats going on? What do you want to learn out of all this when it’s over? What have you learned since all of this has happened?

God is allowing us to be at home, being still and not having much to do for a divine purpose. Lets take advantage of this season. There are seasons to everything. Trust and believe that when this season is over you will look back and say wow, I didn’t think this would ever be up. Make sure you do what you need to do now so the next season will be set up for success.

I love you guys, this was on my heart this morning. I’m praying for you all. Keep your friends and families lifted in prayer- check on your friends.  Love on one another, see how you can SERVE someone. Serving is healing.

Prayer for today

With news of the Coronavirus, I want to pray a prayer of peace, provision and protection over you today: “Father, I thank you for your protection that is found in our faith in Christ. You are our protector, shielding us from sickness and disease. You are our provider, and our peace. Your word says that we don’t have to fear the disease that stalks in the darkness because Your promises are true and timeless. Today, I believe and declare that You are surrounding Your children with health, protection, favor and wisdom. We believe it and receive it today. In Jesus name. Amen”

Release them …

“…but Jesus refused to answer.”
(Luke 23:9, NLT)

In the Scripture, people often came against Jesus and criticized Him. Many times it says, “Jesus answered them not a word.” He simply didn’t respond to His critics. He didn’t try to convince them to change their minds. He didn’t get upset because somebody was talking about Him. No, He just ignored it. When people come against you and they’re jealous, trying to make you look bad, trying to discourage you, remember, you’re in good company! Jesus was probably criticized more than anyone else. I love the fact that He didn’t try to explain Himself. He didn’t try to make everyone understand Him. He just stayed focused on what He was called to do. He simply ran His race.

Friend, Jesus set the example for you and me. We don’t have to try to win the approval of others. We have to understand that not everyone is going to understand us or be for us. Our focus should be on following God’s leading and let Him order our steps. The next time someone criticizes you, remember the example of Jesus. Overlook it, don’t get offended, and keep moving forward in the destiny God has for you!

Today, if you feel stuck, locked out or defeated, remember, Jesus is the One who holds the keys to your freedom. All you have to do is call on His name and He will answer. He promises to hear you and deliver you. Receive His salvation, receive hope, and receive the freedom and victory He came to give.

Prayer

Father, today I release every person who has criticized me or tried to discourage me. I choose to forgive them; I choose to turn away from that distraction. I choose to focus on You and the blessings You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

it’s all about you. [forgiveness]

flying-butterfly-4aMedical doctors and scientists have linked unforgiveness with certain diseases, such as arthritis and cancer. Many cases of mental sickness are tied to unforgiveness.

Forgiving someone is in essence for you. You get to decide to release this person from your heart and your mind. When you hold on to someone in your heart and mind it’s more traumatic to you than the other person. You are the one in in prison.

Forgive, and you will be forgiven. – Luke 6:37

I proposed a question to you last week, do you think forgiveness is necessary? The answer is YES. Not only for you mental, physical and emotional health but for you spiritual being. I don’t know about you but I’m not trying to let anyone cause me to not make it into heaven.

It’s something about letting go of hurt and pain that you have held on to for years or even weeks. Charles Stanley (one of my FAVORITE pastors) stated that when you need to forgive someone- you should write a letter to them, call them and let them know you forgive them etc. In an occasion that the person is deceased – he suggested you pulling up two chairs and you sit in one and sit the other chair across from you and pour out your heart to the person (of course the person is not there but in your mind and by faith you are believing that person is there and can hear you). By faith you will feel the release by voicing it and getting it out of your heart. The captivity is no longer there.

In the Lord’s prayer we read:

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. – Matthew 6:12

Forgive quick, don’t hold on to unforgiveness in your heart. It’s like cancer and it kills you physically and spiritually. It is NECESSARY.

love you guys!

back to the bloggin’

img_1827 (1).jpgHey guys! I am back to the blog world! I’ve been away for some time but I’m happy to announce that I will be back blogging more frequently.

Please stay tuned!

Tonight I just want to encourage you to stay focused and to trust God even when you can’t trace Him!

You may be experiencing some challenges but know that God is right there with you and you must remember what the Word of God says. Romans 8:28 tells us that And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, whohave been called according to his purpose. That is confidence! “and we KNOW…”  have assurance that God is going to work everything out for your good. That lets us know that everything we are going through– is going to work out for our good.

I read a devotional yesterday and the topic was on “Trusting God” and emphasizing on how we should learn to trust God and not stress and worry about how things are going to work out etc- I literally sat there and thought to myself, “I just have to trust GOD…THE SIMPLICITY!” Start to trust God and watch God take the wheel! When you let go, that’s when we can allow Him to step in!

Have a good evening guys!

Love you!

Devotional from DOTK

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalms 19:14

We may not physically hit others, but when we demoralize and speak devastating words to those we say we love, we are displaying abusive behavior. When we discourage our children, strip our husbands of their esteem and honor, when we devalue our friends, or disrespect our leaders, we create an abusive environment that breeds resentment and rebellion. We also grieve the Holy Spirit of God.

Love builds people up; it doesn’t tear people down. Love gives people hope; it doesn’t shatter people’s dreams. Our loved ones can suffer broken spirits, lost hope, and severe low self-esteem from our destructive words and attitudes. This is unacceptable to God.

As a wife, add value to your husband and encourage him. His heart is supposed to safely trust in your hands (see Proverbs 31:11). As a mother, build up your children. They should feel safe, affirmed, and valued. As a sister in the Lord and a friend, build up and enrich the ladies God has placed in your life.

You have within you the power to enrich those around you and improve the quality of their life. You have within you the grace given by God to resist every temptation to speak abusively. Even when your emotions are high, you have the ability to tell yourself, “No! I’m not going to say that! I’m not going to be someone that abuses people with my words! I will help and not hurt people with my words! I will be the woman God has called me to be! I will use my mouth for His glory!”

Prayer: Lord, thank You for speaking to me. You are watching every word that comes out of my mouth. Please forgive me for all abusive and demeaning words I’ve said to others or even to myself. I cancel those words in Jesus name. Heal every heart I’ve hurt. Help me Lord to treat people the way I would want to be treated. I humble myself right now and submit to you. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. You’re my strength and my redeemer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
